A non-refundable tax credit.

You have a severe and prolonged (at least 12 months) mental or physical impairment such that you are markedly restricted in your ability to perform one or more basic activities of daily living.

Have a medical practioner complete Form T2201, Disability Tax Credit Certificate, available online. Send it to the Canada Revenue Agency.
