Giving Voice to Canadians Living With Breast Cancer

Information

Young Women

Receiving a breast cancer diagnosis at any age is overwhelming, but hearing you have breast cancer as a young woman can be particularly shocking. There are many specific and unique challenges that young women dealing with breast cancer have to face:

  • Coping with the shock of a breast cancer diagnosis
  • Understanding the impact on fertility and pregnancy
  • Finding emotional support
  • Dealing with practical issues such as caring for young children, career disruptions and managing the financial impact of cancer

A metastatic breast cancer diagnosis brings many other challenges which is why we have a separate section specifically for women living with metastatic breast cancer.

Our book Never Too Young also has more information about dealing with this diagnosis as a young woman.
