For those living in Labrador, Air Daffodil can help you get to cancer treatments that are included under the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Care Plan (MCP). The Canadian Cancer Society can provide up to 3 return flights per year, which can be split between you and a family member or caregiver.
- Reside in Labrador
- Where applicable, exhaust private insurance transportation options prior to using Air Daffodil
- Have a scheduled cancer related appointment requiring air travel to anywhere that PAL or Innu Mikun Airlines fly.
- If required, an escort must fly with the patient receiving treatment, to and from the cancer related appointment to be eligible for coverage.
- Patient must provide a confirmation letter from your healthcare provider that confirms cancer related appointment(s) to the Canadian Cancer Society, a minimum of seven (7) days prior to the flight request.
