COVID-19 Updates Across Canada

Since our last newsletter, here are some of the recent news and updates related to the COVID-19 pandemic across Canada that may be of interest to you. Please note that this list is not exhaustive and is current as of December 10th.

  • The COVID Alert app has been updated with 2 new features
  • Health Canada authorizes first COVID-19 vaccine

Alberta

  • Alberta Health Services (AHS) has opened COVID-19 assessment sites

Manitoba

  • CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB) will temporarily increase restrictions on patient companions in CCMB facilities

New Brunswick

Nova Scotia

  • Two mobile testing units are now operational to support more COVID-19 testing in communities that need it
  • Access to virtual care options such as telephone and videoconferencing will be extended
