A breast cancer diagnosis can affect many aspects of a person's life. This webinar will feature expert presenters who will delve into some crucial aspects of cancer care often overlooked or difficult to discuss.

Presenters:
Dr. Melanie Altas, MD, FRCSC
Dr. Melanie Altas is a Gynaecologist and Sexual Medicine Physician. She is Director of the BC Centre for Vulvar Health, and a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of OB/GYN at University of British Columbia. As a consultant gynaecologist for the BC Cancer Agency, she specializes in providing care for women with sexual medicine and menopausal concerns during and after cancer treatment. Dr. Altas is passionate about knowledge translation and improving access to care for patients in the community. 

Dr. Jeffrey Roberts, MD, FRCSC
Dr. Roberts completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at McGill University, then a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Centre for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility of Weill Cornell Medical College. Presently he is a clinical professor at University of British Columbia. He served the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS) as director for over 10 years, and president for 2016/2017. His focus is the advancement of fertility preservation for young women with cancer, directly through his clinical practice, and charitable work as president of the national Canadian Charity for advocacy of these services, Fertile Future.

Dawn Siciliano, MSc, CCGC
Dawn Siciliano is a Canadian Certified Genetic Counsellor who joined LifeLabs Genetics in mid-August 2017. She is an integral part of the clinical team involved in service development and delivery of LifeLabs Genetics, a full suite of genetic testing products, as well as counselling, education and training. One of her main professional interests is the education of current and future health care providers as well as patients, empowering them to feel confident in the rapidly changing field of genetics.
