Questions & Experts: A Medical Oncologist Answers Your Questions about Care and Considerations for Older Patients

Oftentimes, breast cancer patients have questions and concerns about their diagnosis and their health that they are unable to get the answers to. Whether it's because of limited time with their primary healthcare provider or because they don't have access to a specialist, many times, their questions go unanswered. To address this, Canadian Breast Cancer Network has put together a Q&E: Questions and Experts series in hopes that patients are able to ask our hosted experts any questions that they may not otherwise be able to ask.

Dr. Tina Hsu is a Medical Oncologist at the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre. She completed a CAMO/CIHR-funded research fellowship in geriatric oncology where she studied caregivers of older adults with cancer admitted to hospital. She is involved in developing the Canadian Network for Aging and Cancer, a grass roots initiative to connect clinicians, researchers and educators across Canada interested in geriatric oncology which aims to improve health outcomes for older adults with cancer in Canada.
