This session will focus on what recurrence means from a medical perspective. Dr. Karen Gelmon will discuss how recurrence risk is assessed, what follow-up care and monitoring typically involve, and what steps you can take to help reduce your risk.
Who: Anyone who has completed or nearing the end of breast cancer treatment
Expert Speaker: Dr. Karen Gelmon is a Professor of Medicine at the University of BC and a medical oncologist at BC Cancer Agency in Vancouver. She also serves as a member of the Canadian Breast Cancer Network’s Medical Advisory Board.
