Join the Canadian Breast Cancer Network’s National Board of Directors – Now Accepting Applications
The Canadian Breast Cancer Network (CBCN) is Canada’s only national patient directed breast cancer health charity. CBCN is unique in that all members on our board of directors have experienced a breast cancer diagnosis. By joining the board, you will help give a voice to the thousands of Canadians whose lives are impacted by breast cancer every year. We are currently seeking Canadians who have been diagnosed with breast cancer to join our board of directors.
As a CBCN board member you will:
- Actively participate to help fulfil CBCN’s mission to ensure the best quality of life for all Canadians affected by breast cancer
- Inform the strategic direction of the organization
- Provide input into education and advocacy initiatives undertaken by the organization
- Identify priorities for CBCN based on the needs of patients within your community and province/territory
- Represent CBCN within your province/territory at relevant conferences and/or meetings
- Attend and participate in bi-monthly virtual board meetings
CBCN is an inclusive organization and strives to represent the diverse community we serve on our board of directors. Individuals representing diverse populations are strongly encouraged to apply.
As a national organization CBCN also considers geographical representation in the selection process to promote national diversity of its board members. To ensure this, we are currently only seeking board members from the following provinces/territories:
- British Columbia
- Newfoundland and Labrador
- Nunavut
- Northwest Territories
- Ontario
- Yukon
